You have probably heard it a million times before - in order to lose weight, you need to combine a healthy diet with exercise. If you did a search on the Internet, you would find many people that are saying this but many of them do not explain very well why this is so.Let's review why nutrition is the fundamental to physical performance. Good Nutrition is the Secret for a Pain Free Life

Nutrition information and natural remedies are now being used by a large population in the United States and throughout the world.  People are looking for alternative ways to create health or recover from long standing illnesses.  Drugs have been applied for around a hundred years and we all know that they are good for emergencies and for short term use to get past health dangers. By learning the nutritional basics or advanced principles, you can decide how to deal with an illness or disease you have or that your family has.  Most people that I have talked with have very little knowledge about nutrition and the amount that they do know was acquired from friends, parents or relatives. Nutrition is actually a science, which can get quite complex in theory.  Nutrition information is concerned with the chemical make up of food, how this food is digested, how it is absorbed and used by your body.  It is all about how it is used to promote health, and how it is used to prevent and eliminated illness. For the normal person, the nutrition they need to learn is the practical side of nutrition.  Learning some theory and mixing it with good ... [more..]

Benefits of Nutrition Supplements

Nutrition supplements are not only necessary but are indispensable even for those persons eating balanced diets. There are several advantages that bodybuilding nutrition supplements are able to provide humans that normal food is not able to give. Let us take a brief look at the benefits of nutrition supplements, as the first step in nutrition guide. Healthy nutrition is a natural process that gives you the same or even higher energy boost and mood relaxation from tea, coffee, tobacco, liquors, drugs, etc., without their harmful side effects Body-mind complex should not be violated The major difference between these bodybuilding nutrition supplements and the above listed harmful materials is that the natural nutrition supplements work with the innate design of your body and not against it. All addictive materials definitely work against the body-mind system, though they might appear to be working with them. They do provide stimulation and relaxation. That could not be denied. However, the harmful side effects from drinks, drugs, and tobacco far exceed the momentary benefits derived from them. They become an addiction. They leave you exhausted and run down in the long run, because they work against the natural body system. Constant exposure to such violation ... [more..]

Nutrition – What Are the Nutritional Needs?

Nutrition as it applies to our daily lives means that we take in what we need to maintain our body's healthy state. Nutrition has become an important word thanks to the involvement of the USDA in our daily food requirements, and the FDA's involvement in determining what is and is not dangerous for us to consume. But what is our responsibility in the nutrition game? Do we understand what our nutritional requirements are, how to fulfill those requirements, and how to look for real nutritional value in our foods? I'm not sure that nutrition has been successfully addressed in its own right. We hear nutrition in relation to our vitamin intake, our fortified cereals and milk, and in the context that we need "nutritional value" from our food choices. But what really is nutrition when applied to our daily bodily functions? Today, we must determine how much nourishment we need, how much physical exercise we need, and how best to accomplish those ends. Calorie needs, nutritional needs, physical needs, and education about those needs now is information we should all understand, at least as it applies to our individual self. If you will visit your local doctor, library, or ... [more..]

Nutrition Graduate Programs in North America

Find Nutrition Graduate Programs in the United States and Canada. If you'd like to achieve a Masters or Ph.D. in nutrition, you should first review admission requirements to nutrition graduate programs. Typically, prospective students must take an aptitude test prior to enrollment. Additionally, applicants to nutrition graduate programs must have earned a minimum undergraduate degree with an above average GPA. Common studies involved in nutrition graduate programs are research in genetic and metabolic foundations (in animal and human diets), nutritional biochemistry, pathology in relation to nutrition, nutritional epidemiology, and other related subject matter. Nutrition graduate programs that result in a Master's (MS) degree entail in-depth coursework in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, advanced nutrition, physiology, and advanced human nutrition. In addition, students will almost always have to complete a thesis, as well as residency. Generally, nutrition graduate programs like this require a minimum of two years to complete. Doctorate (Ph.D.) nutrition graduate programs include higher studies, doctoral dissertation research, and advanced nutrition sciences and research, among other associated courses. Ph.D. program lengths vary, but usually take between three and four years to finish successfully. Students may also opt to participate in nutrition graduate programs with an ... [more..]
