In this article, we look at some statements made by an author (whom I will not name) of a skin care book and review how valid these are. Skin care secrets are not secrets at all. Most of the time skin care is simple common sense. Unfortunately common sense is not very common... Author's statement - Skin care secret #1: You can clean your skin, but you can't "deep-clean" it. Comment: Anyone reading our article on natural facial clays knows the author of the above statement is not a 'deep-thinker'. Clays draw toxins and other waste materials lodged in the pores of the skin out and are more effective than any water-soluble cleansers. The properties of Green Clay for example are very powerful in drawing toxins, micro-organisms and even bacteria into the clay for easy removal. This is why Green Clay products are often used to treat skin conditions such as acne. Author's statement - Skin care secret #2: Dry skin doesn't wrinkle any more or less than oily skin. Comment: Dehydration can reduce the water content of the skin from 70.6 to 65.85% (1). Therefore, it stands to reason that as the water is taken from skin ...

Hair care is important, but a lot of people either ignore it or they are not sure what they should be doing to keep their hair in the right shape. They might not be using the right kinds of hair care products for their hair type, or they might have damage from styling products, curling irons, straighteners, bleaches, permanents, or other things that they have used on their hair. No matter what the problem, though, it can be fixed, and the hair can be restored to good condition ? but it might not happen overnight. It is best if you take care of your hair from the beginning, so that you do not get into the kinds of problems that can take months to fix, or end up basically forced to cut your hair short because of the damage that past products have done to it. Hair will grow back out of course, but someone with very long hair might be highly upset about being required to have it cut, simply because it has become too damaged to do anything else with. Making hair care a priority within your beauty regimen can help to avoid all of that.

If you are one of those ill-witted who perceive athletes as gods who don't need to stop to take in air, or to relax when there is need for relaxation, then perhaps it would be much of a disappointment to you to find out that athletes are not so different from those who are not athletes for they also make use of supplements to get them going.
It is part of their diet to take in supplements to have an enhancement of their endurance, and also to increase or, if not increase, maintain the appropriate muscle mass to be able to improve size and strength.
Protein supplements should be part of sports nutrition, without these said sports nutrition supplements; athletes would not be the way they are at present. However, contrary to what most people think, diets jam packed with protein do not necessarily build up muscle strength.
Building up muscle strength would be the job of regular physical activity. So if you want those big muscles you have to do exercises, not necessarily at gyms but could be also at your residences, daily. Doing so not by the day would not be producing the same result if you do so daily.

Adult acne is one of the most frustrating problems in a successful cleansing skin care program. With so many treatment options for acne, how do you know which one to use? If there is a good thing about acne, it's that there are several options and the key is to find the right combination of cleansing skin care, over-the-counter medications and, finally, advanced physician-only treatment plans. Acne sufferers should keep in mind that if they don't see improvement with cleansing and over-the-counter products within three months, they should seek professional skin care advice; this also goes if they have cysts or scarring. It may sound too good to be true but several studies now show a connection between taking vitamin C orally and the prevention of acne. It's well documented that vitamin C is considered by many to be a super vitamin and plays a key role in immunity and infection prevention. In order to get the possible anti-bacterial benefits of vitamin C that may be available to prevent acne breakouts, physicians recommend taking 1,000-1,600 mg. three times a day. As an all-natural supplement program, a combination of anti-inflammatory supplements, like vitamin E, zinc, burdock root, and vitamin C, tend ...
