HOME HEALTH CARE PROVIDES CARE WITH COMFORT

There is a definite trend to provide home health care whenever possible. The professionals in charge of health assistance looked at the services provided and many decided that people would heal more quickly sometimes if they were out of a hospital environment and in the comfort of their own home. Hospitals can be great for providing care, but in the past people stayed in the hospitals for days or weeks after delivering a baby or undergoing surgery. These stays in a hospital could be very expensive because the hospital had to provide the personnel to care for, feed and entertain the patients. The personnel at the hospitals were highly skilled medical professionals, and often the people who remained in the hospital only needed this skilled care for a limited amount of time. The patients needed additional care or treatment, but they did not need to have the services of hospital personnel. The leaders in charge of health assistance decided that many people would benefit more from home health assistance.
